“Aeraki Dentrou” is perched on a beautiful piece of driftwood, found on a remote part of Corfu Island that I could only access by boat.
It’s name, translated into English from Greek, is Tree Breeze.
When exploring this secluded cove, I collected this piece of wood and brought it back to England. I have been excited to use it in this piece.
 
My driftwood sculptures are always popular. There’s an unspoken mystery behind a piece of driftwood, the mystery of adventure and the unknown. Where has it been? How did it get there? The beauty of nature at its best.
